Offshore travel by Westerners was a part of relaxed vacations earlier, now they are choosing offshore travel because of multiple reasons. Medical treatment is a prime reason for modern travels. The idea has expanded even to an ‘industry’ and developing nations are the current medical tourism promoters across the globe. Medical tourism allows the patients to have a faster treatment that is cost effective and safe in the procedures. Medical tourism is expanded to a billion dollar industry. Medical tourism destinations combine the critical surgical treatments with leisure and relaxation in such a way that the traveler will face least tension during his medical treatment tenure.
The alarming factors in medical treatments with the first world countries make the patients try for a treatment out of the country. In olden days medical treatments in tourism destinations were considered to be risky operations and very few had chosen it as a challenge. In those days treatments in medical tour list only included cosmetic surgeries, rejuvenation therapies and dental treatments. The nature of subject drastically changed in modern world, every treatment in western nations can be done in medical tourism destinations located in the East. For the promotion of Medical tourism India, Turkey, South Africa and East Asian nations are improving their technological standards and infrastructural capacity with great enthusiasm.
